In the spirit of the ideas that are worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organizing events that gather people to share a TED-like experience. The TEDx video event and TEDTalks live speakers combine a deep discussion and connection into a small group. These local, self-organizing events are marked with TEDx, where x = independently organized event TED. The TED conference provides general guidelines for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organizing. * (* Subject to certain rules and regulations).
