Bad Mergentheim. The Kitzberg-Kliniken in Bad Mergentheim made the jump among the best on the 26th edition of the "Top 100" competition. In the process of independent selection, our clinic is convinced of the category of "Innovative Processes and Organizations". The award was awarded to the innovative concept of parent-child therapy clinic.
Clinics in Kitzberg include specialized clinics for psychiatry, psychosomatics and psychotherapy for adults, as well as for children and adolescents. The award is awarded to the concept of joint treatment of mentally ill parents, usually mothers and mentally ill children, who also need hospital care.
The Department is jointly managed by the Chief Medical Officer for Pediatric and Adolescent Psychiatry, MUDr. The close and medical director of the clinic, Professor Dr. Water Bergemann. Children from adolescence to adolescence are admitted to the hospital together with their parents, and both receive the necessary treatment.
Joint treatment focuses on interaction between mother and child in diagnostic and therapeutic terms. In addition to psychotherapeutic interaction therapy, there are interactive offers in design, movement, dance and music therapy as well as in animal therapy with the help of horses and dogs. Clinics have a long-standing experience with this concept of therapy.
"We are very happy about the award, we see them as a recognition for our work, combining treatment based on evidence based on guidelines and innovative approaches," said Professor Bergemann. "At the same time, this is a confirmation of our therapist's daily commitment."
