In 2007, Gallup and Healthways agreed on a 25-year relationship in which 1,000 well-being studies will be conducted overnight. These studies, conducted since January 2008, are representative of the US population and have provided an invaluable picture of the well-being of the American people, the barriers to maximum well-being, and how health promotion programs need to change in order to be effective. This presentation will provide an update on Americans' well-being, information on new knowledge and examples of how health promotion should be transformed to have greater impact.
