Liveticker from the royal tour
Three famous walkers
The most experienced of the three is a 29-year-old Nicolas Senn, The Hackbrettler and moderator lives in Appenzellerland and knows Alpstein like the back of his hand. He pulls him up regularly, and so should his condition.
"What attracts me to Alpstein is this huge variety in such a small area. Because you can also do the tour without much. Everywhere you can come in and receive a hearty welcome. Exposed mountain and sociability – this fascinates me. The royal tour is a challenging sport , but at the same time my goal is to enjoy the variety and the inns. ”
And what about the fitness of a moderator Marco Fritsche? Appenzellerland is also home to him. But unlike Senna, the 43-year-old is looking for peace, not a sporting challenge in Alpstein.
"While Nicolas wants to win the royal route as a striker and drummer, I will be a little more relaxed in my own way and choose
How about the masters of SVP's national councilor and entrepreneur Diana Gutjahr many height meters? A few weeks before the federal election, the 35-year-old is in continuous use and has mastered multiple appearances on the rise.
"I have some experience with mountaineering. But if I say something and have a goal in mind, then I'll do it."
Live Monitoring: Here are the mountaineers in progress
The Royal Tour takes you to famous attractions and insider tips on the scenic route along Alpstein. The sensational alpine panorama reopens. And you don't need to eat a lot of food, because the route runs the past 24 mountain inns.
Tim Tagblatt starts at Hohen Hirschberg on Tuesday morning and is the first to attack Hohen Kasten. The daily goal is Schäfler.
This original 84-kilometer trail is suitable not only for aspiring runners but also for leisure travelers: Most mountain inns offer overnight accommodations.
