Minden (mt / hy). New people arrived: 57 medical studies from Ruhr Bochum University started the medical campus of Minden University Hospital. This is the fourth year of clinical research at Minden University Hospital, NRW Bad Oeynhausen Heart and Diabetes Center (HDZ NRW), Herford Hospital, Lübbecke Mental Health Center, and Auguste Viktoria Clinic in Bad Oeynhausen.
How instructive she was in East Westphalia, meanwhile, she came closer among the students at Bochum. Of the 57 students, 40 chose to voluntarily move to Ostwestfalen – after studying at Bochum for three and a half years, with many having their own personal living environment.
What started in 2015 has already become a model of success, as regular evaluations have shown. The Dean of Research at Ruhr University in Bochum, Professor Ralf Erdmann praised the quality of education at the OWL Medical Campus. "The quality of student teaching grades are excellent. The relationship between teacher and student could hardly be better. You are appreciated and welcome here. I can tell you that students do not always experience this," Erdmann emphasized. "In the surveys we did, it became clear that ten percent of medical students wanted to stay in East Westphalia-Lippe anyway, and 20 percent said they" probably "wanted to stay. And that, although most of them were then settled on the Medical Campus. "
The medical director of the Johannes Wesling Clinic, Professor Hansjürgen Piechota, spoke about the doctor's picture. "They are healers, but also lawyers for the sick and the weak. And above all, you are committed to your professional art and your medical conscience. "He advised junior doctors to keep asking questions." Take the short paths between teaching and clinical practice. This is a great benefit for us here on the Medical Campus, "says Piechota.
Mayor Michael Jäcke advertised Minden and the region. "Minden has very nice sides. Even if Minden is not yet a student city: they are not alone. Together with the University of Applied Sciences, Minden has 1,700 students."
