Currently, the Oberberg Group comprises 12 clinics throughout Germany. Oberberg Clinics are a quality association of private specialist clinics in the fields of psychiatry, psychosomatics and psychotherapy. "By merging, we benefit from certain synergies and can sustain certain structures," Dr. Andreas Jhne, Medical Director of the Clinic and Head of the Department of General Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. Because in combination, there are benefits that benefit the patient as well. The specialty clinic covers the full spectrum of mental illnesses such as anxiety disorders, depression or burnout and addiction in young adulthood.
As part of its 10th anniversary, the Clinic will hold a podium discussion on "My Way Out of Depression – Former Top Manager" on Saturday, October 12, starting at 12:30 pm at a specialist clinic. Medical Director Andreas Jhne will speak with Peter Boos, former HR director and former Jhne patient, on the topic of "depression" from the role of cheerleader and victim. The discussion will be moderated by actor Marek Erhardt.
After the discussion, the audience has a chance to look around at the "sensory market". It is a representation of the various working groups working in the clinic to support physician therapies. "We want to make the clinic a tangible experience and appeal to all the senses," says the medical director.
Ten years ago, a specialist polyclinic was opened in an existing building in Schneckenhalde and has been operating successfully since the beginning. "We had a good start from the beginning," the medical director confirms. "We know what we're doing and we've focused on the right priorities." This is probably because we see the human being in its entirety, "explains Jhne. That is, not only the disease itself, but also the daily life, profession and circumstances that are responsible for the disease.
This means that the clinic not only employs doctors but also other occupational groups such as ergo or sports therapists. "This versatility and team spirit that we all work together to human health are our recipe for success."
Patients are treated at the hospital. "If people live in the area, they also have the opportunity to spend the evening at home and only be in the clinic during the day," the doctor continues. Even relatives are involved in therapy. "We show them where support can be provided," Jhne continues. Therapy can last for seven days but also for several weeks. "But after therapy in our house, we provide further treatment outside."
