How to deal with a cold with essential oils

Essential oils have been used throughout history for their many medicinal and cleansing properties. Some essential oils are particularly effective against colds. Lavender essential oil contains anti-stress properties, promotes sleep, strengthens the immune system and is antiseptic. Eucalyptus essential oil acts as a decongestant, antiseptic and antipyretic. It also contains antiviral properties. Sandalwood, peppermint, cedarwood, rosemary and the essential oils of incense also act as decongestants. Tea oil is antiseptic and antiseptic. Garlic essential oil is a potent antiviral oil, while ginger essential oil is antibacterial. Essential oils can be used in gargle and home sprays to fight the body for cold.

Essential gargle for sore throat

Fill a medium glass with water. Pour the water into a saucepan and cook until lukewarm.

Add 1 or 2 drops (not more than 2) of eucalyptus, garlic, sage, ginger and tea essential oils to warm water.

Turn with the solution. Do not swallow the mixture.

Decongestant of essential oil

Fill a medium saucepan with water and heat until boiling.

Add 1 to 2 drops of eucalyptus, sandalwood, mint, rosemary and frankincense in boiling water. Use all or at least two of these oils.

Put a towel over your head and rest on top of the container. Inhale the fumes deeply. Take at least five deep breaths for maximum results. Blocking must be partially or completely eliminated within minutes.

Tips

  • Warming one of the recommended essential oils in a perfume lamp in bed also helps prevent overwork and other cold symptoms. Apply a few drops of the recommended essential oils to a tissue and, if possible, inhale helps in the cold. Some drops of essential oils can also be used in combination with a carrier oil (such as almond oil) and collected in the chest for cold relief.
