Rescue Relational Importance by Tom Stone Carlson and Amanda Hyer

This presentation, entitled "From Drawers and Coffee Mugs: Rescuing Relational Importance from Otherwise" Ordinary "Everyday Life Events," is from narrative therapists Tom Stone Carlson and Amanda Hyer. We are pleased to offer you this video presentation by Tom and Amanda, based on their recent material, "Towards a theory of relational accountability: An invasive approach to living narrative ethics in couples relationships". This document describes an approach to couples therapy that seeks to help couples intimately apply the ethics of narrative ideas in their personal lives and relationships. This intimate application of narrative ideas focuses on helping partners gain recognition for shaping the effects of their actions on stories of themselves and engaging in intentional relationships that nurture and positively shape the stories of their partners.
