You found the perfect dress and wore it for the first time. Now you need to clean it. Most official clothing labels indicate that you need to have your dress dry professionally, but dry cleaning is expensive. Fortunately, as long as your dress is not rayon, acetate, leather or suede, you can easily clean it at home with water and face soap, saving you money.
You can clean official clothes at home.
Pour 2 tablespoons into a sink or bucket. Fill the sink or bucket with cold tap water. The running water had to make the soap syrup. If you find that the foam does not form, add 2 tablespoons and mix with your hands until foamy.
Soak your dress seven to eight times in and out of the soap, moisten well.
Rub the armpits and the collar of the dress with your fingers. If the holes or the collar are filled with beads or lace, you should be careful to avoid splitting the details. If there are other problem areas, clean them with your fingers.
Empty the sink or bucket and fill it with clean, cold water. Rinse the dress by immersing it in clean water seven or eight times and removing it again. Hold the pump until it is well flushed and the soap is not visible.
Place a towel flat on the floor or table. Place the dress flat on the towel. Starting from the top of the dress, throw it on the towel. As you rotate, squeeze the water. When finished wrap, throw in the towel and dress.
Place a second towel on the floor or on the table. Move the dress on this towel. Pull the towel and dress as in the previous step.
Continue to transfer the dress on clean, dry towels and roll until water is dry from the dress.
Transfer your dress to a flat surface. Form it and let it dry.
