1. COMO Metropolitan, London
Treatment without oil, but with the elements of acupressure: Under Shiatsu massage at first I couldn't imagine that much. Even so, I wanted to try something new when I was a guest at COMO Metropolitan This massage was actually one of the best I've ever enjoyed. Reason: Yuki, who has over 19 years of experience and literally melted me off during treatment. Instead of oil, a soft towel on my back acted as a link between my skin and Yuki's hands. It was a lot more comfortable than I thought – and now I would prefer this form of massage to anyone else. Rounded out by the gentle music, the pleasant scent and the beautiful ambience of the spa, this was the perfect vacation for me.
Shiatsu is a pressure massage developed in Japan to boost energy flow and restore mind and body balance. In my case that definitely worked, I rarely felt so relaxed. Even if this massage has its price – I can only recommend it. 75 minutes costs about 146 euros.
Withdrawal of the Second Petolement, Bali
Fivelements is one of the most beautiful vacations I've ever been to and just out of this world! Nestled in the middle of the jungle of Bali, you can enjoy the tranquility, delicious vegan food and fantastic spa treatments. During our visit, my friend and I said goodbye to the Sakti ritual: After a foot bath and a gentle massage overlooking the waterfall, we were allowed to relax at the massage tables and then relaxed from head to toe. We then got body scrubs with coconut oil, sea salt and holy basil. As a grand finale, we had a bath with lemongrass, oranges, lime and ginger – we rarely felt so deeply relaxed.
Sakti ritual It is designed to activate inner and outer beauty, stimulate skin cell renewal, relax the body, re-energize and create a clear head – and it actually works. It lasts two hours and costs around 240 euros for two people.
3. Hotel Retreat, Iceland
One of the island's most popular tourist attractions near the capital of Reykjavik in southwest Iceland is: Blue Lagoon, a thermal bath with sky blue water that ranges between 37 and 42 degrees Celsius. Due to its mineral salts, silicon and algae, it is especially caring for the skin and is especially popular with people with atopic dermatitis or eczema. The perfect place to relax is The Retreat, a lagoon-connected luxury resort with its beautiful suites, incredible Nordic food and spacious spa areas. Whoever stops here cannot be ruled out – just the view of the moss covered lava rock and lagoon has a meditative effect.
Unforgettable and highly recommended: 30 minutes water massagewhere you float on a thin mat in warm water and massage while you can look into the clear sky or close your eyes. Even in icy temperatures and rain it is an unforgettable experience that is worth it. 30 minutes cost 123 euros – then you can relax a bit in warm water and let the experience disappear in the sauna.
4. LUSH Spa, Paris
Every visit to the LUSH spa is like an expedition to another world – and you have to experience it yourself to understand how special this concept is. Each treatment revolves around a small story that manifests itself in the scent, the products used, the music that is composed and, of course, the treatment itself. My first LUSH treatment was in London, followed by New York and Paris. My absolute favorite in all locations: The Spell, a combination of foot reflexology and scalp massage that releases tension throughout the body. In addition, there is a foot bath, scrub and mask, which is first cooled and then heated. Then you literally swim out of the spa.
The watch costs about 95 euros – and really worth every penny!
5. ESPA Life in CORINTHIA, London
CORINTHIA is known for its luxury apartments, glamorous bar and celebrity guests. The 5-star hotel also features the famous spa, making it the first point of contact for all spa lovers: ESPA life offers everything you need to take a break from the stressful everyday life of London. They include Osteopaths, acupuncturists, personal trainers, nail salon, hairdresser, two swimming pools, sauna, ice fountain, sleeping cabins, gym and more. During my visit, I settled on a classic and booked an Inner Calm Massage. As I was relaxing on a heated deck chair, my therapist was removing all the tension from my muscles, and my foot reflexology was the icing on the cake. I also liked the care products, which of course do not go without animal testing.
An internal calming massage they will be individually tailored to your needs to achieve the greatest possible recovery during treatment. The watch costs about 169 euros.
6. COMO Uma Canggu, Bali
Those looking for a good massage are always in the right place at COMO hotels. Just like in London, the beautiful Shambhala Treatmens are offered in Bali, which make any tension disappear at any time. This is not only provided by trained massage therapists, but also by the pleasant scents and unmistakable style of the COMO spa. By the way, there are three luxury hotels on the island: COMO Shambhala Retreat in Ubud, COMO Uma in Ubud and COMO Uma in Canggu.
Whoever cannot decide should necessarily come with one Shambhala massage Beginning: Close your eyes for 75 minutes, inhale the soothing scent of essential oils and sink into a comfortable sleep, as tense muscles relax more and more. Cost: converted around € 48.
