SABES CEO Florian Zerzer takes flu protection seriously – and he's vaccinated now.
"For several years, the flu vaccine has been part of my annual 'ritual' for me," said General Manager Florian Zerzer.
Vaccination is a "small sting with great effect," Zerzer continues.
CEO Zerzer received the vaccine from sanitary assistant Rosselle Vaccaro at the Hygiene Service on Amba Alagi Road. With the support of coordinator and sanitary assistant Lara Giorgio and Director of the Department of Hygiene and Public Health Anna Maria Bassot.
The medical service in transmission states:
"The fact that the flu is no joke is shown by data from last year. A total of 5,276,000 cases of influenza were reported in Italy in the winter of 2018/2019. It recorded 282 serious cases, including 52 deaths."
The South Tyrol sanitary company again fell short this year with a more effective – and more expensive – quadruple vaccine, which should guarantee more effective protection against the triple vaccine flu virus.
"It seems that slowly, people in South Tyrol are increasingly recognizing the dangers of the flu," the medical dispatch says.
In any case, demand for the flu vaccine has increased this year compared to the previous year, says director Anna Maria Bassot.
There is not much time left for the flu vaccine, as this year's South Tyrol Influenza Protection Campaign ends on December 13th.
Flu vaccine is especially recommended in many risk groups, such as those over 65 years of age. The list of risk groups is at www.sabes.it/grippeschutzung.
