Italian sweet or spicy sausages are usually sautéed or baked in olive oil and herbs such as garlic before baking on a plate or sandwich. Cooked sausage is a Polish cooking tradition that is often used when cooking Kielbasa sausages. You can combine Polish and Italian influences by frying the Italian bratwurst in a frying pan before cooking them in tomato sauce or you can cook the sausage with other ingredients in a pot of water to create Southern style cookware. Cook in a sauce
Heat two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage joint to the pan. Cook the Italian sausage on both sides for about five minutes until golden brown.
Cut the sausage joint into one inch thick pieces with a serrated knife. Put the sausage in a pot of boiled tomato sauce, cooked for 10 minutes.
Cook the sausage and sauce for five minutes. Reduce heat to medium to low and simmer sausage and sauce for 25 minutes. When cooking, mix the sausage and sauce.
Cook in water
Fill a pot with water. Bring the water to a boil at high temperature. Reduce heat to medium.
Add Italian sausage and other ingredients such as potatoes, if desired. Cook for 35 minutes. In the corn to cook the water for the last 10 minutes of cooking, if desired, and shrimp or lobster during the last three minutes of cooking, if desired, Mediterranean cooking.
Put the sausage and ingredients in a sieve. Cut the sausage joint into pieces one to two inches smaller and serve.
